How to Choose the Right Reflow Oven for Your Factory

  • LEDs or large coils: Avoid IR. The dark bodies of LEDs absorb heat differently than the PCB, causing failure. Stick to convection.

3. Do you need nitrogen (N2)?
For most standard soldering, air is fine. However, if you are soldering sensitive pads (OSP) or need ultra-bright shiny joints for medical devices, select an oven that supports Nitrogen injection. This prevents oxidation.
